This team member assists the shift Operations Manager in maintaining high quality standards of housekeeping. The EVS Supervisor position is a working role, where the candidate leads cleaning personnel in work activities in their assigned area. This team member will help maintain a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the hospital, keeping leadership fully informed on the immediate condition of all assigned areas as it relates to staffing and cleanliness.

High School diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 1 year of healthcare or hotel housekeeping required
Minimum 1 year of supervisory/leadership ability preferred
Tours each assigned area of the hospital daily as directed to observe cleaning crews at work and to determine that instructions are followed and safety rules are observed.
Thoroughly cleans assigned areas, including patient rooms, carpets, rugs, floors and ancillary areas, using quality standards established by Environmental Services Leadership.
Responds to environmental emergency situations through knowledge of fire and disaster procedures.
Includes staff in establishing unit goals. Shares accountability with staff for meeting goals.
Holds self and staff accountable to the policies, procedures, and standards of Federal, State, Local and other governing agencies, as well as that of the hospital and department.
Plans and facilitates trainings or programs to meet the educational needs of staff, including orientation, in-services, or education requirements.
