The CT Technologist will perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in the production of CT / T Scans for diagnostic purposes.

Qualifications

  • College degree in Radiological Procedure required
  • Three years of CT Scan experience preferred
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required
  • BLS certification required

Responsibilities

  • Schedules patients for CT exams, gives preparation instructions to CT patients.
  • Performs all exams according to the policies and procedures manual.
  • Competent in applying ASIR and VEO protocols to reduce radiation dose to patients.
  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy. Determines gross pathology from normal cross-sectional anatomy.
  • Knowledgeable of first aide techniques in relation to patients fainting, seizures, respiratory distress and allergic reactions.
