Purpose & Scope:
The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for the financial operations of the hospital system by overseeing daily accounting tasks, month-end close processes, financial statements, reconciled accounts, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role includes supervising staff, collaborating closely with accounting leadership and key stakeholders to ensure the accuracy of financial records, and supporting the organization’s mission to deliver high-quality healthcare.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or in a related field is required.
Experience:
8+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.
Strong understanding of GAAP, healthcare accounting principles, and regulatory compliance.
Advanced knowledge in accounting software (e.g., Lawson, Oracle, Epic, or similar ERP systems). Workday preferred
2+ years of experience leading, supervising, and mentoring direct reports.
Certification/Licensure:
CPA is required.
Master's degree in accounting or in a related field may be considered in lieu of certification.
