Senior Mammography Technologist, Quality Control

Job Description

Purpose & Scope: 

The Senior Mammography Technologist, Quality Control & MQSA Compliance is responsible for providing high-quality breast imaging services while overseeing system wide mammography quality control (QC), ensuring compliance with the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA), and managing patient mammography result letters across all facilities within the health system. This role serves as the system-wide subject matter expert for mammography quality, regulatory compliance, and standardized patient communication, working collaboratively with radiologists, physicists, technologists, and administrative leadership to maintain the highest standards of care and regulatory readiness.The Senior Mammography Quality Control Technologist & MQSA Compliance Lead is responsible for providing high-quality breast imaging services while overseeing system wide mammography quality control (QC), ensuring compliance with the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA), and managing patient mammography result letters across all facilities within the health system. This role serves as the system-wide subject matter expert for mammography quality, regulatory compliance, and standardized patient communication, working collaboratively with radiologists, physicists, technologists, and administrative leadership to maintain the highest standards of care and regulatory readiness.

 

Education: 

Associate’s degree in radiography is required or,

Graduate of an accredited certificate program for radiography is required

 

Experience: 

  • Minimum of 5 years of mammography experience, including 3 years of hands-on Quality Control responsibilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of MQSA regulations, mammography Quality Control standards, and accreditation requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience with regulatory inspections, audits, or accreditation processes.
  • Experience performing DEXA examinations.
  • Experience with ultrasound, MRI, and stereotactic guided breast biopsies.

 

Certification/Licensure: 

Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R) required.

ARRT(M) is required.
