Senior Analyst - Financial Planning & Analysis, Physician Enterprise and VHC Subsidiaries

Job Description

Purpose & Scope:

The Senior Analyst of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), physician enterprise and VHC Health subsidiaries supports the financial strategy, forecasting, and analysis for all physician-related business units and subsidiary businesses. This financial analyst supports translation of corporate strategy into actionable financial plans and reports directly to the System Senior Director of FP&A or System Manager of FP&A with strong dotted line accountability to the Director of FP&A for Physician Enterprise. The role requires advanced financial, operational analytical skills to identify key efforts to support enhanced business growth and operational efficiency.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.

Master's degree (MBA) is preferred.

Experience:

Extensive experience ( 4-5+ years) in corporate finance or FP&A, including significant experience as a key contributor, developer of concept or other development role.

Experience in a multi-division, high-growth company is particularly relevant.

Certification/Licensure:

CPA or CMA is preferred.

Other Qualifications

  • Healthcare industry knowledge: A strong understanding of the healthcare industry, including its unique challenges, regulations (such as HIPAA), and financial drivers, is crucial.  This also includes experience in physician enterprise operations revenue cycle. 
  • Technical skills: High proficiency in financial modeling, analysis tools (like Excel), and financial planning software (such as Oracle Hyperion, SAP, or others) is essential. Experience with business intelligence platforms like Tableau or Power BI is also desirable as is experience with EPIC and methods to extract data and ensure accuracy of analysis, reporting and related efforts. Also includes statistics review and analysis.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills are necessary to effectively convey complex financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders, including Physician Enterprise Leadership, Providers and System Executives.
  • Strategic thinking: The ability to think strategically, develop reporting and informational assessments to demonstrate forward thinking solutions for complex problems, and drive decision-making.
