Purpose & Scope:
The Paralegal and Contract Administrator provides comprehensive legal, contractual, and administrative support to the Office of Chief Legal Officer. The Paralegal and Contract Administrator supports the Office of the Chief Legal Officer by performing a wide range of paralegal functions and contract management activities. The primary focus of this role is to provide legal and regulatory support through the preparation, review, and organization of legal documents; performance of legal and factual research; coordination of corporate governance and compliance activities; and assistance with regulatory filings, investigations, and audits. In addition to paralegal duties, the position is responsible for administering the hospital’s contract lifecycle management process, including drafting, reviewing, and tracking agreements such as professional services, physician, vendor, technology, research, and business associate agreements. The role ensures that all contracts are processed in accordance with hospital policies, legal standards, and applicable healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, the Stark Law, and the Anti-Kickback Statute. The Paralegal and Contract Administrator serves as a key resource to the legal department and internal stakeholders, promoting efficiency, consistency, and compliance in all legal and contractual matters while supporting the hospital’s mission to provide safe, ethical, and high-quality patient care.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher, required.
Experience:
Experience with paralegal matters including but not limited to: regulatory and government filings, research, review of complex matters, corporate governance matters, investigations and organization of materials. Experience with contract administration including contract lifecycle management processes, database management, contract drafting using preferred contract templates, and creation of contract templates.
Certification/Licensure:
Coursework/certifications in Paralegal Studies, Contract Lifecycle Management or related fields preferred.
