Purpose & Scope:
The Assistant Counseling Manager is responsible for assisting in the management of the counseling program in addition to counseling duties. In addition, this individual is responsible for increasing consumer/physician demand for IOP. This individual is responsible for the development and implementation of activities intended to educate and inform professionals and community as a whole of the substance abuse program services offered at VHC. Responsible for the collection of referred patient data, to be presented to the Counseling Manager and Patient Care Director on a monthly basis.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in counseling or in a related field is required.
Experience:
Five years of substance abuse counseling is required.
Certification/Licensure:
Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC), or
Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) in the Commonwealth of Virginia, or
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) by the Virginia Department of Health Professions, or
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) by the Virginia Department of Health Professions, or
Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner (LSATP) in the Commonwealth of Virginia, or
National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), or
Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) in the Commonwealth of Virginia, or Compact State is required.
