Purpose & Scope:
The Employment Coordinator (EC) plays a critical role in fostering a fair, respectful, and legally compliant workplace. This position provides expertise and guidance on employee relations issues, ensuring consistency and adherence to organizational policies and employment laws. The EC leads and supports disciplinary processes, investigations, terminations, and appeals, while also serving as a representative for unemployment, EEOC-related and legal claims. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and a high level of discretion.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 4 years of HR experience with a strong emphasis on employee relations, investigations, and compliance.
Experience in the healthcare industry is strongly preferred.
Strong working knowledge of employment laws and regulations (FMLA, ADA, EEO, FLSA, etc.).
Experience conducting workplace investigations preferred.
Other Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
Highly organized with excellent documentation and follow-up capabilities.
Certification/Licensure:
HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
